AOSSIE's official communication channels are:
- AOSSIE's Main Discord.
- Stability Nexus's Discord, for projects related to blockchains and cryptocurrencies.

All communication should happen in the official communication channels, to ensure openness and visibility to all organization members.

Communication through DMs should be avoided, unless in cases that require privacy.

Communication through DMs between mentors and prospective candidates for funding programs (e.g. GSoC) is strictly forbidden, to avoid biases and conflicts of interest in the selection.
- If you are a mentor and you are contacted by a prospective candidate privately, please instruct them to contact you through one of our official communication channels.
- We recommend that you update your personal privacy settings in Discord to forbid DMs.
- Violation of this rule may lead to ineligibility of the prospective candidate.

Written communication is preferred over audio/video meetings.

Audio/video meetings must occur in one of the following meeting rooms in our Discord:
- Public Meeting Room
- Private Meeting Room 1
- Private Meeting Room 2

Please create and start an event in Discord for every meeting taking place in our meeting rooms, so that everyone can be informed that it is happening.

Any audio/video meeting must be followed by a written summary in one of our channels. Transcript and summarization bots (such as Meetily ) may be used.

Recurring audio/video meetings must be included in our Discord's event calendar. Please contact an admin for inclusion.

Please use each channel only for its intended purpose.
- Do not send messages about one project in another project's channel.
- If a project does not yet have its own channel, use one of the general channels.
- Do not send messages to general channels about a project that has its own channel.

Any attempt to harass or offend any participant in our communication channels will lead to banning from these channels.

Please adhere to our AI Usage Policy in your communications.
If you suspect that these guidelines are being violated by others, please contact mentors, maintainers or admins. Do not message the violating contributor directly.
