Need a simple screen recorder app
https://gitlab.com/vijai/screenrecorder is not maintained.
And https://github.com/hms-douglas/kapture is not mature.
Could not find anything else.

Currently, we don't plan adding new apps (see: https://github.com/orgs/FossifyOrg/discussions/166#discussioncomment-9417721).

Thanks for the link to #166. I understand that maintaining 18 apps is already a massive workload and that new projects aren't a priority right now.

However, instead of just closing the door on new ideas, I think it would be beneficial for Fossify to maintain a "Community App Wishlist"—essentially a single pinned discussion or issue where users can list and upvote the apps they want most (like a Screen Recorder, Authenticator, etc.).

This would allow you to gather collective data on what the community actually prioritizes. Even if the maintainers don't have the capacity right now, having a sorted list of the "Top N Most Wanted Apps" would be incredibly valuable. It gives a clear roadmap for the future, or perhaps for new contributors who want to join the project and build something that is guaranteed to be popular.

Not really. A wishlist doesn't make sense when there's no capacity to introduce new apps right now and in the foreseeable future. Even if new apps were to be introduced, it would be done based on what makes sense for the overall suite in the long term, not votes.
