Feature description
I would like to request the addition of an option to hide the status bar. This feature would allow users to toggle the visibility of the Android status bar (which shows time, battery, notifications, etc.) when using the launcher.
The implementation could include:
- A toggle switch in the launcher settings
- Option labeled something like "Hide status bar
- The setting should apply globally when the launcher is active
Why do you want this feature?
Aesthetic preference: Some users prefer a minimalist look without the visual clutter of status bar elements
Screen space optimization: On devices with smaller screens, every pixel counts, and hiding the status bar provides more space for app icons and widgets
Additional information
Some considerations for implementation:
- The feature should be optional and disabled by default to maintain current user experience
- Users should still be able to access the status bar when needed (e.g., by swiping down from the top)
- The setting should be easily reversible in case users want to re-enable the status bar
