Feature description
A related feature request to allow directly muting the sender (no sound,no popup,no banner in notification, only as unread for new message in the app) from the three dots as right now it involves multiple steps.
Why do you want this feature?
right now it involves multiple steps
Select contact --> three dots menu --> converstaion details --> enable custom notifications --> customize notification --> turn off notification . Moreover if you want to mute multiple contacts, you have to do it individually for each.
The feature would streamline the process as well as allow muting multiple contacts at the same time.
I receive sms from short codes and carriers which are mostly useless but sometime the info is useful and blocking them is not an option. So muting them will take away the nuance they cause.
