Behaviour in checklist is not intuitive.

Expected behavior

1.Tap on ‘Milk’ in the checklist to open the editing window
2.The entry is only marked as completed if you tap the checkbox

Actual behavior

Tap on ‘Milk’ in checklist to mark item as completed

I wanted to do this but I wasn't sure how it would be received. This is how Google Keep does it.

Implementing this would also make checklists valid for #69

But you can do things (much) better than Google. 😄
For what it may matter, I support this request.
