[Bug]: 2.1.0 is not displaying the chat and contacts list correctly

Can you reproduce this bug in the website/PWA?

Yes, however solved by using disable GPU Rasterization from the Chrome chrome://flags options.

Describe the bug

After updating to 2.1.0, the message window and contacts list is displaying incorrectly. When displaying, there are extra layers displaying over the text and images.

This problem has also recently happened on the same machine with Chrome, this was solved by disabling GPU Rasterization from chrome://flags.

This is happening on an older machine with an integrated Intel CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo). If possible, is there a work around by using the Teams for Linux config.json file?

1. From MATE Ubuntu Linux, update to the latest version of Teams for Linux.
2. Restart and login to Teams for Linux if required.
3. Open an existing chat.  The extra layers will be covering the text and images.
4. View the contacts list, the same issue, extra layers will be covering some or all names.

Expected Behavior

1. It is expected that the contacts, text and images will not be covered by extra layers.

Hi @zltippett , thanks for reporting.

Try running the app with --disableGpu , otherwise you can pass most of the chrome options to the app.

The only log lines I see I don't like are the following ones:

That I haven't see previously.

See the config options for more info and do get back to me either way. Hopefully the disableGpu does the trick.

Thanks for getting back with me @IsmaelMartinez , I was able to try the same Chrome option I'm using in Chrome browser and that seemed to work well in my situation. I did try --disableGpu earlier and that seemed to solve the problem, however the whole application felt slower to me. Whenever I tried --disable-gpu-rasterization, it solved the problem and didn't feel as slow.

The fact that my old 2007 laptop is still working, connecting to the internet and running mostly modern applications with Linux is pretty amazing. So, I just keep using it, adding tweaks here and there don't bother me.

Here is the option I'm using:

teams-for-linux --disable-gpu-rasterization
