I'm not strong in FFmpeg, but I think that FFmpeg dropped some features, deprecated in FFmpeg 7.0

I don't know, it's a bleeding-edge version of FFmpeg, and because of this Arch users can't build it

Root cause for the record (building 2.6.3 against FFmpeg 9.0.1, all 11 errors in pcsx2/GS/GSCapture.cpp):

FFmpeg 9 removed the long-deprecated AVCodec struct fields pix_fmts and sample_fmts (deprecated since 7.0). The failing sites are:

• GSCapture::BeginCapture() — vcodec->pix_fmts (~L457–464) and acodec->sample_fmts (~L689–700)
• GSCapture::GetVideoFormatList() — v_codec->pix_fmts (~L1536–1544)

The replacement is avcodec_get_supported_config() (available since libavcodec 61.13.100), which is what #14831 uses (AV_CODEC_CONFIG_PIX_FORMAT / AV_CODEC_CONFIG_SAMPLE_FORMAT); the VISIT_AVCODEC_IMPORTS dynamic-loader table also needs the new symbol.

FYI: Gentoo is already carrying those changes downstream as pcsx2-2.6.3-ffmpeg9.patch (games-emulation/pcsx2-2.6.3-r2, since 2026-08-11). A point release with the GSCapture portion of #14831 would let distros building against system FFmpeg 9 drop their downstream patches.
