Ubuntu Server 24.04.0-1-2 installation failure "Curtin command extract"

Describe the bug

Curtin command extract, rsync error 24 "file has vanished". When installing a Cubic edited Ubuntu 24.04 Server image.

To Reproduce

Download any Ubuntu 24.04 24.04.1 24.04.2 server image from mirror sites.
Run through each stage with defaults Cubic provides making no changes.
Run ISO and install, updating installer makes no difference, error occurs at the end with a crash report.

Expected behavior

Installation to complete and install Ubuntu server 24.04.1.

Got the same issue on a 24.04.2 and 22.04.5 live server.
Any workaround ?

The first error I have seems to be related to lxd missing files, if it helps.
