With few moderators, it’s still possible to have good enough moderation. If
you do things like…
Add a comment cooldown like 5-10 seconds ish
Blacklist offensive slurs and phrases (don’t mute people for typing these
things cuz you could accidentally get marked with being offensive, just
make the comment unpublishable and mark what’s wrong with the comment. That
happens to me on scratch sometimes and I fucking hate it)
Add report buttons with users explaining why they reported the comment. If
it gets reported 3+ times, the comment is hidden until further judgement
cuz yeah something’s up with that
Put a 3 strike feature. Since you can’t get punished for saying blacklisted
phrases cuz of what I said previously, the only thing you could really get
you in trouble is harassment and spam. Spam should get you a 3-4 day ban
the first time, then every other time you get a strike with that, and 1
count of harassment should be a week ban and a strike, while constant
harassment is a automatic 3 strikes get your ass outta here. Now these seem
harsh as hell, but that’s the point. It makes sweaty trolls sweat more at
the thought of disrespecting someone

i mean this is just a no brainer. comments on projects and profiles add WAY more engagement and overall just make the site feel more human, and studios make it easy to organize projects
