Allow overriding chromeOptions and other settings

See #14791 for the details, but we need a generic way to allow for configuration in grails-geb

@JonasPammer would this be something you're interested in helping us with? We need to be able to specify global delays, driver specific settings, etc. Do you have availability to work on this?

My go at this would be to ditch the custom-made extensibility and let people utilize the normal GebConfig paradigm by changing the constructor to the default one, and afterwards just overwriting the few hooks we need to have for grails-geb's container paradigm to work. This is what i originally wrote in apache/grails-geb#128. This would also allow for other remote webdrivers and old-fashioned documented -dgeb.config=firefox (or whatever it was) to work still.

It will take me some time on saturday to look over the new repo structure and dev setup but I'm sure ill have a proof of concept on sunday.

edit: with ditch i mean still allow the initial-implemented configuration option overwrites if applicable to the used driver classed

If we can make it work with the container, I'm ok with that. To get started on the new repo, I'd advise you use the latest IntelliJ EAP or disable the grails extension. Only in the latest EAP is the plugin fixed to not cause a lock up. I'd also suggest you increase the memory of intellij before opening the Grails project. After the initial import, it should be rather fast.

i had to setup my pc anew last week, maybe i can get a go in this this weekend
edit 2025-07-19: sorry i look at this every week but did not allot time because of work stress, and now i am 3 weeks in holiday. will still have this pinned.
