Typing to jump by artist

Is there a way to change Audacious to jump to whatever artist name I start typing?

By default, Audacious seems to mainly jump to whatever song title I start typing, but some keys send other commands, like 'C' is play/pause...

I have no use for these random commands since I use Global Hotkeys set up to cover my use case, and my library is quite large, and I exclusively want to jump to certain artists. I don't even have a good memory of track names, just what album they are on...

As a temporary workaround:

CTRL+F to search,
start typing,
mouse click or arrow key to any track by the artist (since track names are also searched and sometimes return above the artist I started typing),
hit ESC

Not ideal and slower.

I think, the best way to do that is to use the search tool. It's extremely fast. Firstly, you have to load your library of course.

Using the "Jump to Song" dialog is another option, it is available in the Winamp interface (shortcut 'J') and the GTK interface (CTRL+J).
