The issue originally reported by @CrimsonBolt47 is due to the inclusion of core-js.

Adding the following workaround BEFORE loading colyseus.js fixes the issue:

Object.defineProperty(Function.prototype, Symbol.metadata, {
  value: null,
  writable: true,
  configurable: true,
});
