Description of bug
Currently we have a patch which is not needed for CppInterOp to pass its Emscripten tests (I have checked this locally). It was introduced to help xeus-cpp, but we shouldn't keep this patch permanently. An effort should be made to do this patch in a way which would be accepted upstream. If this is done alongside the issue to remove the Windows cross compilation patch, CppInterOp can be patch free in its Emscripten build
