Blazor wasm can not be deployed to Azure Blob Storage Website

I have created a Blazor wasm project under .NET8. Usually I deploy it to Azure Blob Storage Website, but with recent updates in Visual Studio (newest: 17.14.12), I have not been able to deploy it successfully. I copy the content of folder wwwroot into folder $web in azure blob storage.
It tries to load and the circular progress indicator goes to 100% but does not end up loading. I had to go back to previous versions of Visual Studio to publish the project properly
