Current Status:
Our Infoblox NIOS integration currently supports NIOS version 8.6 and above. However, the NIOS 8.x series has reached its end of life as of April 2025. Infoblox recommends that customers upgrade to the 9.x series.

What Needs to be Done:

Testing: Validate our integration against NIOS 9.x releases to ensure compatibility. This includes ingestion, documentation and dashboards all align with the 9.x release.

Adjustments: Identify and implement any necessary changes to our pipelines to correctly parse and normalize events from NIOS 9.x.

Documentation: Update the compatibility section in the NIOS integration documentation to specify that we support only NIOS 9.x or later.

Deprecation Notice: Clearly communicate that support for the 8.x series will be discontinued, aligning with Infoblox’s official end-of-life policy. We should also leverage our new ability to inform users of a major change to an integration and require acknowledgment before updating. This will ensure users still running 8.x won't be caught off guard when they upgrade to the latest integration (FYI @piyush-elastic)

We have access to NIOS 9.x licenses through our partnership with Infoblox. Details on obtaining or deploying an offline NIOS instance can be provided to assist with testing.
