"Volunteer check-in" needs time-out

If people don't check out or are not checked out at the end of their shift, they accumulate LOTS of unhealthy overtime.

many people do not check out because they don't know they can.
so probably the "check in successful" message needs info that (and when) self check-out is possible.

out of curiosity: when we set volunteer shifts to "completed" manually after they forget to check out themselves, is this timestamp / extra time in some way logged or applied? (Because I set volunteers that forgot to "completed" and am now a bit worried that some people show up with multi-day shifts …)

Edit: Looked it up and the "x time over" label is purely cosmetic; shift times matter rather than check-in/check-out times.

So yeah, a "you can check out again" info would be good, but I don't think a timeout is needed. It would be nice if the display did not include seconds and milliseconds though …
