Is this where you normally see the "Sync Project with Gradle Files"? I see it under the Build menu for a non-Flutter project that uses Gradle.

Yes. This is where it should appear for Flutter projects under File Menu.
I am not interested in non-Flutter projects.
For Flutter project, I cannot sync project with gradle files b/c File Menu is missing 'Sync Project with Gradle Files'.
This menu items needs to be added so that in my flutter project, I could sync my project with gradle files.

Can you provide a project sample? Is this a project where you are changing Android native code within the android directory under your main project? Otherwise I don't follow what you need to sync for the flutter project.

You can verify this issue for any new Flutter project. I don't change Android native code within the android directory under main project.

This is not an issue with Android Configuration.

The Android studio runs on Java. The Flutter project creates the build.gradle file.

The Java version should match to the corresponding gradle version.

The gradle website has the table that matches the Java version to Gradle version.

The Android Studio update upgrades the Java version.

The latest stable Java version is 21. The corresponding Gradle version is: 8.5.0

In my project, I used to have the older gradle version, I think like 7.6.1.

All Flutter projects have build.gradle file, but the actual place where you change the gradle version is located under: ProjName/android/gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties.

I changed the gradle version manually in the above location to 8.5.0

After the latest Android Studio update, the Java and the gradle is out of sync.

Now, I need to sync my project with gradle, but there is no method to do this.

In this particular bug, the Customize Main Toolbar screen shows the elephant button (Sync Project with Gradle Files), but the button is not available in the actual toolbar. Therefore, I cannot do the sync.

When Java is out of sync with gradle, then nothing runs. The Android Studio just says:

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

Where: Settings file 'C:\Users\Home\AndroidStudioProjects\prjname\android\settings.gradle' line: 18

What went wrong: Plugin [id: 'com.android.application', version: '8.5.0', apply: false] was not found in any of the following sources:

Gradle Core Plugins (plugin is not in 'org.gradle' namespace)
Included Builds (No included builds contain this plugin)
Plugin Repositories (could not resolve plugin artifact 'com.android.application:com.android.application.gradle.plugin:8.5.0') Searched in the following repositories: Google MavenRepo Gradle Central Plugin Repository
