Hello digital accessibility toolkit team!

Awesome job on the new launch btw, there are lots of great new information and I am super happy to use the site. However, there is a small problem. Currently, navigation of the site seems to rely on memory. This causes me to not be able to find the content I need.

I have attached a quick review of the sitemap of the digital accessibility toolkit: see sitemap-2023-11-30.docx. Note that I recorded my impressions as a user, it is very subjective.

I did not go through everything but here is a summary of the major problems:

1. Too many useless “in-between” pages.
2. Content is found by clicking links that do not correlate. The solution for that would be to either move the content somewhere else or the change the link text.
   • For example, guidance about how to create a semantically accurate table is found in a link about alt text and long description. I understand that the topic of tables is touched in the content about alt text and long descriptions but it might be best to refer to instructions found in a more appropriate place rather than giving the information where it does not belong. The cognitive user story is: “I am here to learn about alt text, don’t distract me with other content unless I choose to.” If the goal is to give all the possible information about making content accessible, then the title should not be only about “alt text and long descriptions”.

If needed I could proposed a new site map based on an action oriented user.
