Running `exit` after git commands, unsure which ones exactly.

Expected behaviour

Terminal tab closes.

Actual behaviour

Terminal sometimes randomly hangs with either empty output on PowerShell or logout on bash.
I'd say it does it on about 3/10 attempts.

And you cannot Ctrl+C it? Also: Are there still any git.exe processes running when it hangs?

No git.exe or ssh.exe processes in task manager, gpg-agent.exe is there (I GPG sign the commits but I'm not sure if it only occurs after commit).

Ctrl+C does nothing but I can close the Windows Terminal tab with the x button or the whole window.

I encounter this issue while using GPG that comes with Git for Windows, specifically with password entry via pinentry.

Are you using signed commits or using any commands that spawn a new child process?

Interesting. So does the tab close nicely when you call gpgconf -K gpg-agent before exit?

I am facing this issue on PowerShell. I haven't installed GPG4Win at the moment.
