STM32 Mach3 board remap challenges

Hi all
I have remapped my board for a 5th axis using the original pwm output, which works fine.
Now I'm trying to create another output for VFD spindle speed control output. Previously I used the pwm output for it to create a 0-5-ish volt "analogue out" that did the job.
I like to use GPIOC 9 for it that switches a 24v output on my board, maybe with a capacitor in line. But here I'm stuck and will not get anything when mapping the pwm to it. I'm a bit lost in the code and just working by trial and error, could someone point me in the right direction?

I have changed the original mapping from GPIOA_BASE pin 8 to:

These definitions are not correct: SPINDLE_SPINDLE_... -> SPINDLE_PWM_...

And you have to add an entry in driver.h for PC9 - either for TIM8 or TIM3, channel 4. Ref. the datasheet - table 5.

The first was a copy/paste typo, thanks for spotting it.

The data sheet states TIM3 CH4 with a remap.
What value should #define SPINDLE_PWM_AF_REMAP have? I tried 0b01 but that locks the processor and then needs to be booted from RAM.

TIM8 can be used if the MCU is a RC variant, this after updating driver.c for it (TIM1 and TIM8 differs from the other ones).
TIM3 can also be used with remap 0b11 and PULSE_TIMER_N changed to 4. Ref. Table 44 in the reference manual.

I'll commit the needed changes to driver.c and driver.h a bit later.

The driver remaps SWJ/JTAG pins - $PGM can be used to revert that, but not sure if $PGM works in the current version. I'll ensure the $PGM command is made available in the next commit. I had to erase the flash with the ST-Link utility ro make programming via the IDE work again.

What is the function of the variable PULSE_TIMER_N? (compared to SPINDLE_PWM_TIMER_N)

PULSE_TIMER_N is for generating the interrupt used for turning step pulses off.
