Description
Version 2 has several issues, in particular making it difficult for users to understand why the debug visualizer does not work and what to do to make it work.
Goals for version 3:
- Make it easier to use by having visualization examples to select from that are guaranteed to work
- AI integration to generate/select visualizations from the context
- Understandable data processing pipelines, from debug adapter to the visualizable JSON value. The first stage should be in the language of the debuggee, the last stage should be customizable js transformations.
- Using web editors as base for visualizations (example bezier, example json ui, example recursive playground editor)
- This would allow it to use any iframe embeddable website that follows the web-editor protocol as custom visualization
- Bidirectional data editing, as explored by the debug-value-editor extension
- Automatic nightly build from main
