Hi Linkarzu! This is a really nice article and a great video with a lot of details beautifully highlighting simple-bar!

I wanted to let you know that I just implemented automatic syncing with the external config file. The import/export step is not required anymore, I simply removed it.

simple-bar will now directly try to create this ~/.simplebarrc JSON config file while still saving those same settings in Übersicht local storage just in case it can't proceed to create this configuration file.

It should now be simpler to manage simple-bar configuration from a configuration repository for example.

Keep in mind that if you make a change in your external config file, you'll have to manually reload simple-bar a way or another, for example by running this command in your terminal:

osascript -e 'tell application id "tracesOf.Uebersicht" to refresh'

You can also do the same by clicking on simple-bar and then by pressing cmd + r.

That said, I'm frequently working on simple-bar so do not hesitate to open issue/PR, ask questions in discussions if you need anything!

Hey @Jean-Tinland, sorry for the late reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. It's nice to hear that there's no need to worry about importing/exporting the configuration, that will make it really useful for other users that keep their configs in a repo
