evaluate input on Workflows

It would be nice if workflows that grant variables to input would check them upfront and not while the related action runs.

My example for that would be "Create release". I typed '+1.0' as increment (as it is shown on the screenshot) ... that failed my release workflow with:

Now I have a failed release pipe but a release :) Is there a way to set a new value and just rerun this Job with a new value? Or what should I do to make this look clean :)

Only thing you can do right now is to delete the release and the tag - and then run Create Release again.
I will add some parameter validation to Create Release - I have a PR open with another fix already - should be easy to give the error up front before doing any harm.
