Debug button is stuck in debug mode

I selected "Debug GenAIScript" from the button on the upper right hand side of VSCode once, and now it's stuck. I can't switch back to its original state. I restarted my editor several times also, but it made no difference.

I don't think I control this. It should revert back when you hit run again.

It doesn't turn back on its own. Do you know if there is a way I can see what mechanism it's using to debug? I restarted my computer and it returned to normal, but it's stuck again when I click it once.
