CSS nesting coloring broken

CSS nesting coloring seems broken. Examples:

Notice if I add a new nesting rule for .test the :hover suddenly gets color:

@aeschli this is a hard thing to write nicely, I am trying my best to not come of as expecting anything.

I realize this is an open source project and anyone can contribute. Still it is quite common for a repo to at least have some active maintainer to actively comment or do work here and there.

Due to the importance of CSS for the web, is there any plan to have some more active maintenance by Microsoft for this repo, as the owners?

Sytnax highlighting is not part of this repo. https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-css is the textmate grammar that is used in VS Code.
The issue for nesting is microsoft/vscode-css#40. PR microsoft/vscode-css#30 is in work

@aeschli got it, I think maybe this could be good to add to the README to avoid at least a few similar issues here in the future.
