dotnet test fails with Microsoft.NET.Test.SDK 17.14.0 and PlatformTarget x86

Tests with the NUnit attribute Explicit are not supposed to be run by dotnet test. Since SDK version 17.14.0, the test run fails with the error "TESTRUNABORT".

Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce the behavior you are describing. Can you please provide more information or repro?

Sorry, while building a minimal example, I discovered this isn't about [explicit] attribute.
The real error is: Failed to load the dll from [C:\Program Files\dotnet\host\fxr\9.0.6\hostfxr.dll]
It is a combination of SDK 17.14.x and <PlatformTarget>x86</PlatformTarget>. Checkout my repo: https://github.com/KL-Sven/NUnit_Tests

You can start the build.ps1 script to reproduce the error.
If you remove <PlatformTarget>x86</PlatformTarget> or go back to SDK 17.13.x this runs fine.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, this is a known issue currently and we are working on fixing it. I'm going ahead and closing as a duplicate of dotnet/sdk#49436

thx, yeah seen the conversation, insertion to sdk to fix this will be soon, once we have good build on main then it should propagate the fixed version to sdk, and we can merge the PR waiting there.
