Search returns results for all versions unless version picker was loaded

Actual behavior

When using versions in navigation, search returns results for all versions unless the version picker has been loaded. Here is a demonstration with https://modelcontextprotocol.io/:

Expected behavior

If the version picker has not been loaded, search should return results for the default version only.
