My question

When I entered the correct username and password, the above prompt appeared. However, I was able to successfully connect using the Xshell software. I am a new user and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the error. I hope to receive responses from everyone.

I've seen something like the screenshot you attach before. It looks like your xrdp.ini file has been updated imperfectly from v0.9.x. We can look at that later.

Do you have a file ~yting/.xorgxrdp.16.log? If so, what is in it?

There's something odd going on here with your logs.

The last attempt to start an X server on display 16 is timestamped 2025-06-24-17:19:25 from the sesman log. This doesn't correspond with any of your .xorgxrdp.*.log files.

Can you try running the X server directly from the command line when logged in as ytning? The command to use is:-

/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg :16 -auth .Xauthority -config xrdp/xorg.conf -noreset -nolisten tcp -logfile .xorgxrdp.%s.log

I'm expecting an error, but it's possible the X server might run and you'll need to use CTRL-C to terminate it.

In any case, let me know what happens.

Sorry for that I answer your question until now. I have been able to log in normally recently. My procedure was to restart my computer and then shut down the VPN. I reported this error to the root user of the server. I'm not quite sure what actions he took.
