I managed to create the perfect everforest colorscheme variant with mini.base16. No more blue light and eye strain. Please check it out and let me know if you have any feedback.

Nice!

I think Everforest is one of the most beautiful color schemes out there. Plus it has pretty wide Neovim support (including 'mini.nvim') and pretty solid code. So I'd consider using it directly.

If not, then this is definitely a close second choice :)

There is even a lua port of everforest at https://github.com/neanias/everforest-nvim.
Nonetheless good work on a base16 version, I like it.

You are right about it, and I did try this out, but the issue is that it no longer becomes the official port. Also, while that might not be an issue, I don't really like some coloring options which I will anyhow override if I use that colorscheme which will all amount to the number of color overrides I have done in the above snippet using mini.base16. Besides, one more thing is adding more plugins to my config which I am not really fond of doing it unless necessary.

Ok, fully understandable. I just tried the theme and I'm missing some highlights, so I have to adjust a few things anyway, so I'm trying your idea.

@EddieFAF I just forgot to add the minifilesborder color which I just did. If you are using this snippet, I would suggest you copy it again from the post.
