However, it seems like it's unable to reference @/Users/jaesung/.codex/COMMON.md...

That's an interesting prompt. What's aboslute mode, and where did this come from? Thanks.

Also perhaps since those files are likely outside the folder you ran codex in, maybe that is why it can't reference them. Perhaps anyway. GL
