When duplicating a file set time to now

At the moment it is the same as the original file, which I always find quite annoying - instead of being at the top of the file list ordered by time it is still somewhere in the middle. I have just tried to do cp file1 file2 and file2 had the time stamp of now on Linux, so it seems to be at least a little bit standard.

Additional data point in favor of this convention: in MacOS the Duplicate option changes the file time to now.
