• Knowledge mapping: combination of different existing R packages / resources to visualise the link between concepts in scientific texts based on NLP neural nets
• Table extraction: R script to extract tables from PLOS journal publications
• Vlogging, videos to describe projects
• Contribute to or develop checklists that can be included into papers to indicate whether they pass certain thresholds for quality science (e.g. meet strobe guidelines, analysis has been run independently and reproducibly, etc)
• Build or contribute to tools that make science output more machine-readable (e.g. NOT only pdfs), and also advocate organizations to incorporate these practices (e.g. bioRxiv doesn’t have this, even tho that would be really useful to mine and filter out studies).
• Services or consulting for helping other research groups become more open, modern, FAIR, and streamlined.
