The autogenerated README.md currently shows a list of sponsors, do we want avatars again?

If not we should update the README.md which is still sayiing that it generates avatars.

@lpil let me know what functionality you prefer. We could even add another 'tag' to the GA shell script that lets you chose, avatars or a list of names with links. I won't get to this until the weekend though.

I think we can leave the avatars for now, but there are some other output formats that I would like shortly
