Will the future support the HarmonyOS operating system?

Just as in HarmonyOS, using Qt and Flutter, in HarmonyOS, use Slint

I think chances are good for that. At the very least we'd need a version of winit and softbuffer release. See also rust-windowing/winit#4117 rust-windowing/softbuffer#261 as well as rust-windowing/winit#4081 . Do you know what the situation is like with regards to ohos and GitHub actions for testing / ci?

I made some examples to test winit and softbuffer. But the release process is currently held up due to issues with winit, see detail: rust-windowing/winit#4330

However, due to the Winit issue, it seems that we can no longer proceed. The problem lies in (who will be responsible for the future backend maintenance)?

Do we have any other ways to continue?

I hope that the winit folks will be able to create a new release soon. My understanding is that the objective is to make it possible to maintain winit backends out-of-tree, which would be perfect for ohos.

Unrelated to winit: How's the situation with Vulkan on ohos? It would be really nice to use wgpu on ohos (without the GLES backend).

Wgpu should work in ohos. It supports GLES mode now.

If we want to use vulkan as backend, we need wgpu to upgrade ash version. See detail: ash-rs/ash#983
