npx next dev hangs after Ready in...

Summary

npx next dev suddenly stopped working today. It hangs after showing Ready in. This is on the template project app-tw, so it doesn't have anything to do with any specific modifications to my project.

I have tried the following diagnostic steps:

• Delete .next
• Delete and reinstall node_modules
• Try a different nodejs version (installed via npm)
• Try running on a different port.
• Try a different nextjs version (14.2.0, 14.2.1, 14.2.3)
• Try restarting the computer

It was working great until this morning. I am unsure how to get it back to a good state. At this point, it seems like I will need to try developing in a brand new virtual machine. I would appreciate any insight anyone can offer on this.
