Proposal: Reducing PR Review Bottlenecks with Structured AI-Assisted Validation

Hi everyone

While working on PR #260 (backend core coverage), I noticed how AI significantly accelerates code generation — but it also increases the review burden on maintainers.

Given Bruno’s recent announcement about maintenance and adoption challenges in the AI era, I wanted to propose a small discussion:

Problem

• Contributors can now generate large PRs quickly.
• Maintainers must review more code in the same amount of time.
• Review quality may suffer due to volume.

Proposal

Introduce structured pre-review validation to reduce reviewer load:

1. Stricter automated lint + type enforcement
2. Required test coverage thresholds
3. Smaller, scoped PR recommendations
4. AI-assisted self-review checklist before PR submission
5. Possibly a “PR readiness” checklist in templates

Goal

Reduce bottlenecks while improving code quality and long-term maintainability.

Would love to hear thoughts from mentors and contributors on:

• What has worked?
• What pain points exist?
• How we can improve workflow?
