Understand some data, simplify things if possible, not prevent reports from running while we do.
From #9099 (comment) I noticed that @WaigePilson has 2 variants of field numbers in labels, because
I think that is so that we get the number and not the guid, for the second that is very important so we get the value of the field number and not the determiner or type of the field number
I don't know what that means, but I think it's probably evidence that the data we're packaging up in the cache isn't useful.
Is there some reason to keep flat.field_num, or can we drop it and save a bit of processing?
Semi-related, for reports the best option when there's any complexity involved is about always to just pull all the data, available via identifiers, and extract whatever you want in the report.
