What is weave?

weave is an entity-level semantic merge driver for Git. Instead of merging files line by line, weave understands code structure (functions, classes, structs, traits) and merges at the entity level.

Result: 31/31 clean merges on our benchmark vs Git's 15/31.

Quick start

brew install ataraxy-labs/tap/weave
weave setup

How it works

1. Extract entities from each branch using tree-sitter (12 languages)
2. Match entities across base/ours/theirs by name and structural hash
3. Merge at entity level with inner-entity chunking for classes
4. Validate the result parses correctly and passes semantic checks
