Can you please create releases when updates are made to the contents of this repo that could impact customers? For example, a parser update may break the normalization of a log type in Sentinel and break detections, queries, dashboards, etc.

Create releases in this GitHub repo or notify customers when changes are made to this repo. Customers can watch the repo for updates and be informed when changes are happening in their Sentinel workspaces.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Microsoft could notify customers when updates are made to their content (e.g. parsers).

Thank you for bringing this up and for sharing your concern
At this time, we’re unfortunately not able to proceed with Create GitHub releases for this repository. The Azure Sentinel GitHub repository is a public, multi-solution repo that contains a large number of independent solutions and contributions. Managing centralized releases for each individual solution within the same repository would become complex and difficult to maintain at scale.

That said, customers are already notified when a specific solution is updated through Content Hub in azure sentinel portal. When updates are available, customers can see the new version and choose to upgrade to the latest release within their Sentinel workspace.

Additionally, each solution author maintains release notes within their respective solution folders. These notes provide details about what changes were made, including updates to parsers, analytics rules, workbooks, and other components.

With this, we plan to proceed with closing this issue. Please let us know if you have any further concerns.
