Tags that the user sees or searches for should be preserved in some sort of database for autocomplete for later searches

This already works as intended on PC Grabber, it is unimplemented on android.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Manually remembering and typing in tags by hand...?

I believe this actually was implemented in 301b769 (from #3565).
Are you still having this issue on the latest nightly?

Note that to prevent filling the auto-complete with millions of broken tags (in case of a bug in Grabber or the remote source), Grabber only adds a tag if it sees it at least 10 times in a page (which should always happen to the current search, unless the source does not return tag information during listing).

It can also happen if the "image count" of a tag is above the threshold, but given the Android version does not load the "tag sidebar" information like in the desktop version, this count is pretty much never available on the XML/JSON APIs.
