Dual SID Support

I'm thinking of getting a SIDKick Pico for my C64, which supports emulating dual SIDs, but I don't want to switch trackers now that I'm used to SidFactoryII. How feasible would it be to support dual SIDs? I know it'd require a new driver, but the actual composition part could probably be implemented using the existing UI by merging two songs (one for each SID) during the packing phase.

I'm a noob at C64 coding but I have experience in C and C++, so while I can't currently write my own driver, I might be able to help out with the application part.

I have wished for this to happen too. I come from CheeseCutter which had s Dual-SID support too. it would be nice to be able to specify if you have using the same SID in both slots or a 6581 (and which revision) and a 8580 in the other. or 2x 6581 or 2x 8580

I think the editor should show all 6 channels side by side and if its annoying, then make two players work together instead of one player controlling all 6 channels. I know, instruments cannot be easily exchanged between the two players - wasting some bytes on double configuration... so shared instruments and tables, would be nice... but hey... dual SID is more important than perfection in byte saving... I doubt dual SIDs will be demo or game materiale anyways..
