Cross-staff measure lines for piano

As far as I can tell, measure lines are not connected between staves in piano parts.
The attached photo demonstrates what I mean.
As far as I am aware, this is also a common feature for multiple instruments across a section in a orchestral score, so the inclusion of that there would also be helpful.
