Clarification and Roadmap for v6 (Beta/Alpha)

I see that v6 has had both beta and alpha versions over the past few years, but it’s not entirely clear what changes are planned or what the roadmap looks like. Would it be possible to create (or pin) an issue detailing:

The current status of v6
Any planned features or breaking changes
Remaining tasks or blockers
An estimated timeline (if possible)
It would really help the community (myself included!) stay informed and possibly contribute. ✨
