DAVI v1.0.0 - Available now

Governance process

This release is a part of our closed beta testing and so we are not utilizing DXdao’s full frontend ownership process yet. This application is owned by the PM via a subdomain which references an IPNS hash. This lets us do releases with no gas costs whilst still being very open with IPFS/IPNS and ENS as well as using the amazing .limo gateway for fast and consistent loading.

Features

Full migration from swr to wagmi

Aside from just having a cool web3 name the wagmi package is built from all around supporting web3 tools and applications. Its a powerful library now handling all our interactions with contracts. https://wagmi.sh/

As with most upgrades and refactors they can be difficult for end users to see, but with this you should see:

• Snappier navigation through the UI
• More consistent behaviour
• Cleaner console (still a little messy)

Improved ENS support

We previously locked off ENS functionality in the demo but now it is here in a pretty awesome way.

You can now test ENS in goerli!

Since we have ENS deployed on the testnet we can pretend we are on mainnet and set hashes for ENS names. The most recent update added here also supports subdomains. This is an extra important feature for DAVI as we plan to give guilds additional configuration over their DAVI experience via subdomain json configs.

Play around with this feature on the closed beta now in the swapr guild which has control over the swpr.eth domain.

Other big features

• Orbis discussions - Not quite complete as we have yet to develop the final page for the MVP but it will be coming soon
• IPFS pinata pinning - You should now see proposal data loading consistenly, just the first sotrage solution planned
• Signal proposals - Not sure how we forgot this for so long, but proposals no longer need actions, just give them good option names
• Voting UX - You can now see if you have voted for a proposal and with how much power

Known issues

Users are not currently able to create discussions but this will be fixed once we have the orbis MVP complete.
