Search for .png does not work

I searched in one folder for ".png" images and the prog found them all - then converted them.

I next tried the same in another folder (Windows explorer finds them) and nothing happens.

I have thousands of images, mainly jpg, in hundreds of folders.and there are sone pngs amongst them.
I searched one and found them, but when I then searched other folders, the program froze and went nowhere.

If I understood correctly, when you search for images using your desktop environment’s search function and try to drag them directly into the interface, this may not work properly.

That said, I’m working on a feature that will allow importing images filtered by file extension.
