Release v1.1

With the next GWB hackathon comming up, a new ASPECT release soon, lots of new features since the last release which users would like to use in ASPECT and the last release being almost 1.5 years ago, I think it is time for a new release.

Here is the todo list:

• remove old testers (update macos tester to macos-15-intel #865)
• run spell checker and fix typos (fix typos typo warnings. #866)
• run clang-analyzer scan-build (https://clang-analyzer.llvm.org/command-line.html: scan-build -o /tmp/gwb ninja)
• run clang tidy (address suggestions by clang-tidy #867)
• make sure all cookbooks still work (are part of the testsuit)
• check and fix changelog entries
• Update copyright year sphinx, include and header files (Update copyright year to 2026. #883)
• Confirm aspect pull request review (Update gwb to version 1.1 geodynamics/aspect#6866)
• make new zenodo doi (before the release) to include in the new release: 10.5281/zenodo.19222670
• increase version number (Release version 1.1.0 #884)
• make release
• post-release version bump --> Note: Benchmarks won't work until this pull request is merged. (Post v1.1.0 release update to v1.2.0-pre #885)

Please let me know if there are any other items which should be checked before the release, or which may delay it.

I realized that I think it would be good to get #848 merged before the release, so that the topography infrastructure is there during the gwb hackathon and participants can work on the coupling with for example aspect if they want.
