Why not using working private room player for outside areas?

Ive been using Decima Workshop and i think i found the entire music player logic. My question is how hard it can be to implement it to terminal for outside areas?

Were you able to get the music player's actual code? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Decima Workshop allows browsing game assets (meshes, audio files, shaders, etc.), not the actual engine/game code.

That said, this was actually the first route I tried while reverse-engineering the game's code. However, I quickly found out that calling the logic/function that plays music inside won't work on the outside world. If I remember correctly, it doesn't actually crash the game, but no music will play, most likely because the variables needed for that (outside the function arguments) are no longer loaded once you're in the outside world. And that's why I switched to the actual function(s) the game uses for music playback in specific outdoor locations!

Logically, if you go deep enough with static/dynamic analysis, there should be an audio engine-level (Wwise iirc) function that's shared between all the game's audio playback functions, and if you can figure out how to call that properly, you can basically bypass all of the game's code and play any audio, anywhere and anytime, granted you load the audio file correctly, etc. But I didn't bother wasting hours/days on it, since the logic I found was enough for the mod's goals.

Plus, if you do it the audio engine way (or the music player way), you would most likely lose how the game events interact with the outdoors music playback (music stopping , pausing when opening menus/dialogue, then resuming after, etc.) And at that point, you might as well code an mp3 player overlay on top of the game and load any mp3 file you want (this already exists as a mod)
