Any news on the 1.0 release?

I know there have been lots of comments about the 1.0 release being the next one that's coming out and that it will contain a lot of great improvements. Has there been any word of what the current progress or the timeline is for that release?

Of course the very first thread I go back to that I hadn't kept up on after posting this has some comments I hadn't seen before from a couple weeks ago saying in a few weeks so sorry for the failed search!
