Consider exporting `.read_zmetadata()`?

Hi @Bisaloo, hope you are well!

I'm coming up against a situation where I would like to read in an array's entire .zmetadata file, to access more than you can from zarr_overview(). I see there was some conversation around exporting .read_zmetadata() in #39 -- is this something that could be revisited?
