Hi @michnoffn, thanks for bringing this up.

Assuming the script you're referring to is this one, it looks like that script is very outdated (it was last modified 4 years ago), and therefore it's causing errors when it is run with a recent version of IDAES. Therefore, I'd say it's safe to disregard the errors as they are due to the script itself being out-of-date.

I've just opened #1102 as an internal reminder to review and remove possibly outdated scripts still left in this repository to avoid confusing users going forward.

Awesome, thank you so much for the help! I do actually have another question though, I had a thread going from about two weeks ago in which I was fixing my install. I had an error from running the pytest. Would you be able to look at that and make sure I'm all good? Thank you again!

@lbianchi-lbl We actually did update that script recently to address this issue (or a related one) - I just checked the main branch of the examples-pse repo and the script shows it was updated 2 months ago.

In this case, I suspect both of you are looking at outdated versions of the script.

If I understand, the up-to-date version of that file is https://github.com/IDAES/examples-pse/blob/main/src/Tutorials/Basics/notebook_test_script.py (which has been updated recently), i.e. in the separate examples repository. The reason why I thought there was an out-of-date file in this repository is because it was moved there (i.e. deleted from this repository) at that time.
